Svenska Vorstehklubben (SVK), bildad den 3 juni 1917, utgör en specialklubb i Svenska Kennelklubben, SKK och ska som sådan arbeta för SKKs och medlemsorganisationernas gemensamma mål med de raser som klubben enligt delegering från SKKs Centralstyrelse ansvarar för.

Svenska Vorstehklubben – Östra avdelningen (dagligt kallad Östsvenska) bildades 1954
som en lokalavdelning till Svenska Vorstehklubben.

Utöver dessa stadgar gäller i tillämpliga delar stadgar för SKK och av SKK utfärdade bestämmelser.
I den mån stadgar för specialklubben strider mot SKKs stadgar gäller stadgar för SKK.
